As we move through these slower summer weeks, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the season so far and extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who makes The Hope Centre such a vibrant and caring place.
Looking back, it’s hard not to smile when thinking about our May Ball. What a night! We came together to celebrate the essential section of The Hope Centre — our incredible volunteers. Your dedication, kindness, and selfless service are the heartbeat of all we do. The night was filled with laughter, stories, and such joy. Thank you again to everyone who helped organise, attend, and support this amazing evening.
This summer, our Baby Basics project truly shone, hosting a wonderful free summer pop-up that reached so many local families. It was a joy to see the smiles on parents’ faces as they received much-needed support, and the warmth in the room as volunteers and families connected. Thank you to all who gave their time, energy, and hearts to make it happen — you are amazing.
The summer holidays are also a time to pause. If you’re reading this, I hope you’re finding space to rest, relax, and recharge — whether that’s with family, a good book, or just some well-deserved quiet moments. We often pour out so much, and rest is a gift we need to embrace too.
As we continue through the rest of summer, let’s keep looking out for one another. Whether you’re volunteering, resting, or preparing for what’s ahead — know you are deeply valued and appreciated.
With thanks and hope,
Angela
