Hope House Breakfast Club Job Roles 

We are currently in need of servers for Fridays and a Cook to help during Wednesdays and/or Thursdays.  

 

Hope House provides those who find themselves Homeless and at risk of Homelessness a free breakfast this would not be possible without the commitment of a team of staff and volunteers

 

Kitchen Assistant

We are looking for volunteers who enjoy being part of a friendly and enthusiastic team of volunteers to assist in the kitchen with duties such as food preparation and cooking of the breakfast. You will also be asked to make sure your area of work is kept clean to meet the highest food hygiene standards at all times.

 

Serving Assistant

We are looking for volunteers who enjoy being part of a friendly and approachable to serve clients who attend the Breakfast Club with tea/coffee, make toast and sandwiches. They must be a good team worker and be willing to make sure  we meet the highest food hygiene in all work areas and also clean and prepare all work areas ready for the next day. 


 

 

 Front Desk Volunteer Job Roles

 

Volunteer Receptionist

A friendly, approachable person who is able to keep calm under pressure is needed in our Reception Area. On the job training will be given to all of our volunteers. You will meet and greet everyone that comes into the Centre and direct them to the correct room or contact the appropriate staff member who they have arranged to meet.  All visitors will be asked to sign in and sign out by the Receptionist.  You will also need to be able to answer the telephone in a polite and professional manner and direct the calls to the appropriate person.

Training Team provides an array of courses which offers people the opportunity to improve well being and to gain qualifications in a supportive and comfortable environment. 

 

Volunteer IT Support

A patient, reliable person is required who has excellent computer skills and is willing to assist people with little to no computer experience. You will work in partnership with the IT Tutor to help deliver on line computer courses. Courses are ongoing and a commitment to regular attendance is appreciated.

Breathe Programme Support – Session Assistant

An empathetic, patient, calm, respectful person with a  non-judgemental manner is required to support our learners. You will be working as a volunteer session assistant and acting as scribe for people attending our Breathe courses who struggle with literacy

Course runs are one 3 hour session over 8 weeks and you will need to be able to support each session.

Volunteer English Session Assistant

An empathetic, patient, calm, respectful person with a non-judgemental manner is required to support our learners who struggle with reading and writing.  You will be working as a volunteer session assistant to support people attending English lessons.

Course runs are one 3 hour session a week, ongoing.  A commitment to regular attendance is appreciated.


 

We would expect all volunteers to give a slot of 3.5 hrs on a prearranged day once a week.
