The Hope Centre is pleased to announce that we have signed the Charter for Employers who are “Positive About Mental Health” as we want to declare a long term commitment to support the mental wellbeing of staff and volunteers within the workplace.

The Hope Centre, incorporating Hope House St. Helens Homeless Centre, main office in Atherton Street, offers a wide variety of training and support interventions for those suffering with mental health difficulties and those affected by unemployment, food shortages and homelessness.

Our culture is dedicated towards providing training, early interventions and self-help strategies to support and improve the quality of life of those who are referred onto us.

As a MINDFUL EMPLOYER, we encourage a happy, productive and mentally healthy workplace as we are always appreciative of our large team of staff and volunteers who continuously push themselves above and beyond when they are working to help disadvantaged and vulnerable adults within the local St. Helens area.


As a result, with the challenging work that we carry out within the local community, we understand the importance raising of awareness regarding/towards mental health and feel that it is our duty that our staff and volunteers also feel comfortable to talk to their managers and to know that help is also available for them, as we encourage everybody to look after their mental wellbeing.

A wide range of employers across the UK are involved in the initiative which gives businesses and organizations easier access to information about mental health, training, practical support and networking with other employers.
